Added more links to the links page, on the same subjects as yesterday, with the addition of new sections for Doom and Sonic things under fangames/ROM hacks. (Not really sure if Doom wads count as ROM hacks but it seemed like the best place to put them, and adding "/Doom wads" to the header feels like too much.) Also added links to all the links page headers that take you back to the top of the page.
Added the navigation bar at the top of the page to every main page on the site, and added a link back to the home page. Don't know why I didn't just do this from the start honestly, but now you can get around the site easier! Only downside to this is that the nav bar isn't in alphabetical order anymore, but it just seems more better to put the home page link at the start of the list.
Added links to the links page, focusing mainly on places to get Clone Hero/YARG charts, and fangames and rom hacks for Pokémon and Mario games. Also added a table of contents to the links page to make it easier to find things.
Lots of small changes around the site. Added disclaimers to the links page, (and elaborated a bit on the link to Sunjackers, and fixed a typo on the Clone Hero bit) gave credit to pony.town for the horse in the corner, and changes the navigation bar thing to be in alphabetical order.
Also finally updated the site on Neocities!!! It's not just a single nearly empty page anymore! Sure there's still not actually a lot here yet but it's not just sitting on my hard drive anymore and I'm happy about that.
January 2025
Copied a couple of stories I've written to this site, which were previously hosted exclusively on external sites that I linked to. The links on the Creations page now go to the copy of those stories I have on-site, with links on their pages to the original, externally-hosted version.
November 2024
More formatting changes as always. Added a nice navigation bar to the top of the main page after a significant amount of trial and error, and added the rest of the pages linked to by it, - About, Creations, Blog, and Archives. - though said pages aren't all done (or in some cases started) yet. (In the process of adding the nav bar, I also fixed the issue of the pony gif overlapping text on smaller screens) Made a template so I don't have to keep re-writing the same stuff every time I add a new page. Also changed the Not Found page a little, to be more in line with everything else on the site.
Various Days in November Prior to
Worked on the links page, very slowly. For how many different websites I've seen it's surprisingly difficult to think of ones to add to the list.
October 2024
Finished editing John Helldiver, and also writing the author commentary. I'll need to go back to that sometime because I wanted to try some fancy CSS stuff there, but for now it's done I think.
Set up styling for footnotes! Also changed the line at the end of the quote citation thing on the home page with a footnote saying roughly the same thing.
I also fixed the issue with the margins on the sides of the screen by putting a cap on the side margins and making the top margin static.
I also edited John Helldiver some, originally just to fix the presence of two top level headers, but it got a bit out of hand. I am planning on making the original markdown version available as well, unchanged.
Made more changes to the CSS, there's now a neat little visual indicator of what level each heading is besides the size of it, and the pony gif on the home page is now in the top-left corner. Neither looks every good on very thin screens, and I'm just not quite happy with how I did the latter, so I'll probably find a different way to do it later.
Tweaked the CSS more, added a links page, still a work in progress.
Added this changelog to the home page, changed the CSS some more, and added (and started styling) The Life and Times of Johnathan S.E. Helldiver, a short bit of Helldivers 2 fanfiction in the form of a government agency reviewing a biography for treason.
A Few Days Before 1st Dated Entry
Changed the CSS around a little, specifically the margins on everything. The space between the content of the page and the edge of the screen now scales with screen width.
~1 Week Before first Dated Entry
Started over with making this website, immediately started hosting it on Neocities.
